Helpful tips for visitors to the Buda Castle Palace District during hot weather

We'd like to offer some advice to assist visitors to the Buda Castle Palace District during heatwaves.

Protect yourself from the sun with a light hat, a visor hat and sunglasses. Wear light, airy clothing and comfortable summer footwear to increase your sense of comfort. Make sure you stay hydrated and always keep plenty of water with you.

On planned tours, leave time for shaded rest stops; you can refresh and fill up your water bottle at numerous locations. Water is available at St Stephen's Hall, Savoy Terrace, as well as the Foundry Courtyard and Horseherd Court toilets. Drinking fountains can be found on Palota Road, Savoy Terrace, in Horseherd Court and Foundry Courtyard.

To help you cool down, mist cooling systems are located in Savoy Terrace and the Neo-Renaissance Garden.

Please request your complimentary paper fan from any employee in the information points, while high-quality, reusable water bottles can be purchased in our gift shops.

We hope you enjoy your stay, but please take care of yourself and each other.
